I know...and I'm sorry!

So basically, i'm the definition of a complete slacker... i sort of have excuses, but not really. first i'll post a few pics from my brothers wedding...

these were at the temple...now for the reception center, it was AH-mazing!!!!

I loved her idea of little mason jars for cups...the striped straws are perfect as well! :)

so, other than that going on, schools been going and i've had a volleyball tournament every single weekend with an occasional game here and there...i'll try not to make excuses, but i just did. :)

...me now. my prison sentence junior year of high school starts tomorrow. here is a list of all the things i'm excited for:




yee-ah. well, i suppose i'll have to make the best of it, i won't be posting tomorrow or tuesday because my brother is getting married on tuesday and there's a big dinner tomorrow night. we'll see what happens. i'll let you know how everything goes later this week...if i survive that long. :)

I'm tired...

...from all the volleyball i've been playing!!

yes, i  had a volleyball tournament. and i'm beat.

literally. haha! yea...we didn't do too awesome...we won three and lost five.

it was really good though. it was fun just to be back to playing volleyball. i'll tell you one thing, tearing an ACL and both your menisci STINKS... but it makes you appreciate what you couldn't do SOOO much more! :)

That was a Doozy!

wow! that storm on monday evening was crazy! it was kinda raining and then all of a sudden it started hailing SOOO hard!

it was so big i thought our cars were gonna be dented!

our poor gorgeous lilies just got pounded!

what was weird was that it was soooo short sunny almost the whole time and about two minutes later, the streets and sidewalks were steaming because it was so hot outside.

Shirred Skirt!! :)

i 've always seen the shirred fabric at stores and never really thought about doing it. i saw a tutorial for it by Disney from rufflesandstuff and HAD to try it.

then, i thought the skirt needed a belt and once again, Disney saves the day! :) so this belt is from her blog as well!

 i bought the shoes at Ross (best store EVER). they had these hideous fabric flowers on top of them but they were only 10 bucks, so i just ripped the flowers off when i got home :) hehe!

Bridesmaid...

for some reason, i'm just in love with these bracelets! this could maybe have something to do with the fact that i made them... :) (bragging alert) first of all i'm in love with anything blue/turquoise, second of all, i love bracelets, and i love a combination of two things i love! :) so i made one of these just for myself to wear, but then my future sister-in-law saw them and asked me if i would make them for all the bridesmaids...duh! "of course i will!" i said, so this is what they look like:

p.s. i may or may not have gotten a little carried away making three different sizes and tying cute little size tags to each of them... :)

I'm not even planning the WEDDING!...

okay, so my brother is getting married in 9 days. CRAZY! my mom is doing a dinner for family the night before that, and i'm decorating for it. this is the pile of flowers that i made out of crepe paper: yes, it took FOREVER.

and then  there's THESE flowers...(PLEASE excuse the constantly messy desk area!)

so...remember that pile of flowers? this is what became of them...

oh, and let's not forget the present for the bride and groom! :) i'm pretty sure neither of them know that i have a blog so, they won't see this! :)

Oops!

Okay...here's the story. I've been at girls camp and then youth conference, then a family reunion. i HAVE been crafting a LOT, i just have had NO time whatsoever to post! I'm sorry!! oh, also, high school volleyball tryouts have been going on for the past few days and i made the team! hurray! so, anyway, i apologize!

Wedding band...

...haha!! NO!!! i'm not engaged! i'm only sixteen for heaven's sakes!! :) so technically, this is like, a wedding HEADband...but i betcha you looked twice, right? okay, probably not, considering nobody has called a wedding ring a "band" since the 1940's..... :) i made this headband for my brother and soon-to-be-sister-in-laws (there has to be a better way to say that...) wedding. 

her colors are gray, robin egg blue, light yellow, and creamy colors. so all the bridesmaids people (me) have these cardigans that match and then we're just doing our own gray skirt. so. me being the little crafty person that i am...there's gotta be somethin' in the hair, i mean, who doesn't wear stuff in their hair? um...lots of people...wait? seriously? okay, sorry, so i went to jo-anns (i could be happy for life if i lived there with an endless supply of "cheese-its"...don't ask...) and bought a string of pearls (which i ripped apart as soon as i got home... :O) and a lovely spool of creamy lace. (p.s. excuse the somewhat nasty looking girl there...i was at volleyball all day :))

the gray fabric for the flowers is *SPOILER* the fabric that i'm using to make my skirt for the wedding...hehe! so, i just kinda whipped this one up and took some pictures...i always kinda forget to take the pictures WHILE i'm making it, so mostly all i have are finished projects...oops! so, i am afraid of commitment, i know that seems random but i just couldn't SEW or GLUE this baby to the headband so as you see in the pictures, i used sticky velcro (bless the soul that invented it!) so now if i ever want to change what's on top, i CAN! yes! i'm so cool...sorry. by the way: did i mention that except for the band, band, this is a no-sew project? hehe! i'm addicted to hot glue! haha!...no seriously. okay, well, tootles!
